Sherwood Preschool is looking for 1:1 preschool assistant

Sherwood Preschool would like to employ a 1:1 Preschool Assistant to join our enthusiastic, committed, and professional team.

The job will be to support children with additional needs, ages between 2 – 4 years. The role is an immediate start on a temporary contract to be reviewed in July 2023.

The hours will be flexible between 8.30am to 4.30pm, 5 days a week, term time only.

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience of working with children who have additional needs
• is able to provide focused 1:1 support
• is able to record children’s progress and development
• will support the SENCO
• is an excellent communicator who works well within a team
• is able to form good relationships with children and work in partnership with parents, colleagues and other professionals.

Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a level 2 or above Early Years qualification or equivalent.

Pay scale will be dependent on experience.
