Breakfast & After School Clubs

Choosing the right breakfast/afterschool club is one of the most important decisions you will make for your children, then you have come to the right place. Our combined wealth of experience in educational, social, emotional and physical development enables us to understand and facilitate your child’s learning and individual needs. We aim to ensure that you feel secure in the knowledge that your child is well cared for in an environment that is both safe and fun.
You are welcome to come and view the clubs at any time and meet the team.

Our Philosophy

We aim to provide a happy and secure environment with stimulating play to encourage interaction and development for future school and adult life. We endeavour to create an atmosphere that
  • provides support for all children
  • assists parents & carers and provides practical advice and information.
  • encourages children learn through play.
  • helps children gain confidence, self- expression, trust and learn new challenges.
  • helps children meet and make new friends.

Be Fun!!!

Activities include: craft activities, cooking, group games, outside play, wii games and occasional movie nights!
Our qualified and nurturing staff works as a team to ensure that the children’s experience of care and education is a positive one. We aim to help working parents juggle necessary tasks in life such as caring for their children whilst pursuing an often needed career.
All our staff are DBS checked, qualified in safeguarding, food hygiene and a qualified first aider is on the premises at all times.
Reception children are collected from their classroom by a member of the After School staff and taken directly to the After School Club.
Children in year 1 are collected from their classroom by a member of the After School team and taken to the school dining hall to meet with the other children. Children from year 2 upwards should make their way to the School Dining Hall where they will be met by a known member of the After School staff.
Younger children will hold the hand of an adult on the walk back to the After School Setting. The children will be accompanied by at least 2 members of staff.
Sherwood Pre School is a reputable organization that provides breakfast and after school care for children aged 2 to 11 years. We work in conjunction with Howard Primary school in order to achieve this shared goal.

Our Breakfast and After School Clubs are registered and inspected by OFSTED.

Our parents choose our club because we are friendly, flexible and reliable and offer simulating play opportunities/activities. With over 14 years of child care experience we understand the needs of children and parents alike.
Invoices are issued by the end of the 2nd week every half term and will be given to the parent/guardian by the after school/breakfast club team or emailed.
Payment should be made by the date(s) indicated on the invoice and can be made by cash, direct debit, childcare voucher or through the tax free childcare scheme.
As we are a small charitable organisation, payments must be made promptly as per the invoice. Please speak to the after school team with any payment queries.
If your child is not going to attend a booked place, please call us or email on sherwoodpreschool1@gmail.com as soon as possible. So we are not waiting for them to arrive at the School Dining Hall, if you have booked a space but do not attend.
